@laurenatf: I can’t be the only one who alwaysssss gets emotional on my birthday?! And to this day I can’t quite put my finger on why. Maybe trauma that surfaces on a day that’s about celebrating your life or maybe it’s the fear of getting older and things “going downhill” from here. Probably a mix of it all tbh. But a wise man once told me that going downhill is the easiest part and when I look back at my twenties I get it! I feel more confident now than I ever have. And I have so much more purpose than I did in my early twenties and not because my life is perfect now but because of the work I’ve done and the experiences that shaped me. I know I’ll probably always feel that pressure around getting older… but if this is the “easy part” then honestly it feels like it can only get better from here!!
