Do I 3D print? No. Did I watch the whole video? Yes. Did I understand any of it? No.

Thanks. I wish they could figure out a slicer based solution to this. Kind of a pain to have to design the solution into the models

Does this also work with round shapes, like a donut? I keep running into this problem and I’m honestly starting to get really frustrated. I’d really appreciate a reply. Thank you!

check "print infill first" and it should also help

This is very interesting. Shame it will compromise strength

Recently stumbled on your videos but… love them. I’m new to both 3D printing and design, both purely as a hobbyist. I need a Fusion video series from you, you’re a great teacher.

Any ideas why PETG might have really inconsistent adhesion? sometimes the prints nearly fuse with the textured A1 build plate so I have to run ridiculously low bed temperatures for PETG like 55C, which works, but then other times they detach mid-print especially on taller parts with smaller contact patches

If you chamfer the base, would that help also?

Thanks for the tip! I’ve had the exact same problem, I’m gonna try the fix on the next print

I've been printing for a few years and just in the past few months, seeing what can be done with negative space in prints has opened my eye more than anything else I think. pretty awesome concept to make prints work and work better than ever 🤝

Y en esta pieza que tiene como parte hueca y parte con relleno justo en esa transacción me sale la raya?

Oh I’m going to try this - printing at 50% speed also helps.

I step mine back in 0.1 mm, at the transfer line it seems to work well. the base is perfectly flat too,

I've personally never had an issue with this although all I use really is my flash forge adventurer 5 pro, but I have heard of people using cold plates to negate this warping, do you have any knowledge on the cold plate method? because im looking to get a larger 3d printer soon and im trying to do all my research first like I had with my pro 5

I’ve never had this line, but I always build a fillet to the inside corner. Boxes become stronger, and it makes the difference more gradual and hide/remove that hull line.

you cant do that with injection molding, but you also dont have to. injection molding doesn't have that issue.

Can I create that gap hidden? I mean not visible from the bottom only for the first layer lets say

Great idea. I have this problem in a print I do regularly. However the bottom of the print is the visible top of the model so wouldn’t work for me, unless there is another way?
