The Plantagenets was my first thought because Eleanor of Aquitaine is a personal heroine of mine. She was extremely intelligent but her kids were morons with several downright inept. How she plotted against her own husband of more than 20 years was stunning. But also hugely admired Empress Matilda who should have been allowed to rule.

I’d watch it, for sure! I know it’s not the Borgias (not 12th century) nor the Hapsburgs (lasted 16 generations)…it’s not the Plantangets, cuz they were replaced by the Tudors…maybe the Medicis? Who’s the family!?!
