please don't overdo it with this brush, using it too frequently and/or too aggressively can hurt your dog's skin (which can lead to infections if abrasions are bad enough) use it once per week MAX during heavy shedding (usually going from winter to spring, or summer to fall/autumn) also, if your dog has longer hair, make sure you go over their coat with a detangling coat first & cut any badly matted spots first, so that when you use this brush, you're not pulling on your dog's coat.

My dog usually has long flowy fur and I tried one like this that worked amazingly on short fur but it seemed to pull my dogs fur. I brush/comb her 1 hr a day, she only gets a deep bath once a year (paws & bottom can get a light wash if/when needed) because she is brushed daily. Does this one work for long flowy fur? That’s 8 years x 365 days of brushing an hour day. That’s 2,920 hours of brushing.😮💨
