@devinedwelling: I’m 46. These are three things I no longer chase. 1. I’m not chasing skinny anymore. I’m chasing a glow, balanced hormones, and strength. Ironically, that’s led to my smallest body but there’s a difference between being skinny and being well. 2.I stopped chasing people, places, and things that don’t meet me halfway. I don’t question where I stand. I don’t overgive in unclear situations. If I give my energy, I expect it to be respected and reciprocated. I go where I’m appreciated. 3. I’m not chasing escape. Not through alcohol, substances, food, or numbing. I choose presence even when it’s uncomfortable because that’s what actually makes life better. Turning 40 is like hitting a fork in the road. You’re able to look back on the first half of your life and consider where you might need to make some changes.
