I’m just glad that the cop had enough sense to be like oh maybe it’s just a number. Cause a lot would just go straight to this car stolen get out of the car. Like an incident in Colorado. It was like four kids one really young up to a teenager and they were just waiting for the mom to get done with the nails. The kids were old enough to be in the car with the oldest sibling. They made those kids get out of the car in the middle of the summer on the black road on their stomach’s cuffed. Come to find out the plates they were looking at were for a motorcycle and they were in the van.

A lot of cop cars have ALPR's (Automated License Plate Readers). The device is constantly scanning, logging, and analyzing. It will automatically alert if the plate pops. The cop has to stop the individual. This cop was actually pretty decent about it.

After this happened to me four times in one month, I changed back to normal plates. Same issue where the reader came up as a hero instead of an “O”.

Happens all the time, their scanners don't always pick up the right Letter or number and they don't usually punch it in manually anymore.

While I know they do it anyway however just running someone’s tag for no lawful reason is illegal in several states.
