brought up slipping rib syndrome to my doctor, they ignored me. hypermoble as well and was denied by BCBS for further testing. gotta love the healthcare in the usa.

No way! I can’t literally reach under my ribs and pop them. Last week I noticed one side was out way farther than the other. I checked because I was having the worst pain in my lungs

Slipped rib syndrome needs to be studied a lot more. Like 4-5 years ago, the popping/slipping of my ribs started becoming painful & limiting, and i had to go all the way to REDDIT to find out what it was. Ugh

guys- everyone has floating ribs. "floating ribs" is not a medical term for something bad, it is something everyone has. i can grab and move my ribs as well. this is not THAT. the ribs on the bottom are floating, meaning not connected to the sternum with cartilage.

I took advantage of the fact my weight was as low as it was and got videos of me breathing in and you could see my bottom rib doing it (I have EDS, was told for years it wasn’t real happening)

I had this too cause I have HEDS it sucks bad. I went to physical therapy and was on muscle relaxers and pain meds for 2 months . Nothing helped besides a sneeze that at first felt like a death sentence but fixed it

i have slipped rib syndrome, it’s not jsut your ribs it involves a lot in your back as well. yes ribs play a crucial role in it but you will have excruciating stomoch and back pain
