white people are still upset about Obama being elected, they decided back in 2008 to ensure a black man is never president again they have to dismantle the entire government

Hit the nail on the head. Fascism develops uniquely in each country, cuz its tied to a national narrative thats made up

I mean Japan’s was also driven by the rejection of racial equality in the treaty of Versailles so there was some racism there especially with their attacks on Chinese territory

Both the US and pre ww2 Germany want to expand the empire. Germany was down and out. The US is the dominant culture and trump is the purest example of American culture. Germany wouldn’t have been successful because it wasn’t self sufficient. The us I fear does not have that problem lol

No they’re going through economic depression too since 2008 in real terms the country has never recovered. Make America Great Again is an economic cry. The institutions that back the economic down fall are the ones leading the way to supposed “prosperity”. 😂

saying Germany caused ww1 is oversimplification
racism/prejudice was a huge issue in Germany too. that's why antisemitism spiked before the holocaust. Bismarck was one of the statesmen who worked with antisemites which lead to the holocaust. anti-leftism, anti-polish, and (what we would now call) anti wokeness were also big factors.

love this topic & currently taking a ww1&2 history class! i agree that the main driver of nationalism here is racism. obviously the US never been able to genuinely resolve racism (or xenophobia) but i feel like the racist and xenophobic narrative being sold to the masses rn has been cranked up to the max because the people in power (like trump & his entire admin) and capitalist class need the struggling working/middle class citizens to blame immigrants and other marginalized/minority communities for why their wages are so awful, why the job market is so bad, etc.. but of course its the people in power causing these problems domestically and on a global level. hitler did something similar except he mainly targetted jewish people as a scapegoat, and he justified it using both eugenics and antimarxist rhetoric to convince the germans that its all because of "the jews"

That’s a really good point about Germany and extreme nationalism. I’m hoping the United States is too diverse to turn into Nazi Germany but who knows 🤷🏽♀️Trump attracts racist but I don’t think the man himself is racist. Trump has always f*

You should research WWI. The way he’s trying to take over the government is directly related to that. As far as the atrocities they are American. They learn from us
