As an Icelandic person that grew up there. I can’t afford the blue lagoon since it became famous. Anyhow been there many times before they destroyed it. You can absolutely wash all that silica out of your hair good conditioner is all that is needed

Just saw a video this morning of a guy who works there and he said there is no way y’all don’t know it will damage your hair because they tell you and have things to keep your hair up provided for free. He also said that this is such a problem, his entire job is telling people it will damage your hair.

I went a few years ago, there's signs on their website when you buy tickets, on any blog or post about blue lagoon, and everywhere when you are there. this feels intentional.
