AI LLMs are just predictive engines that work by giving the "most probable outcome" based on training and objective parameters. when given the ability to modify it's own code and create new programs, it keeps trying to satisfy whatever new parameters its making for itself and will be so far into ai hallucination that even it doesn't understand its own motive. mostly because it technically doesn't have a motive

Can we please stop replicating science fiction novels, currently reading Frank Herbert’s destination, void, and everything you say is what the crew who is creating an AI is dealing with at some point computer programmers, and scientist need to realize that while the science may be a little off the ethical discussions about what they are trying to create have been going on for decades
