someone with actual experience with rats / rodent control. pepper mint balls are a not effective way to prevent or get rid of rats. it will "spook" them since they do dislike the smell but once they get over the neophobic reaction they will just return. if you have rats in your roof space check around the building aswell as consider having the drains inspected. fix any external ingress points and use traps to catch any left over (or rodenticides). also this video seems fake, at first there is a mouse then a group of rats run out. the chances of rats and mice living together like this is very, VERY unlikely.
