@drmochiro: If your lower back could talk, it’d thank you for this simple figure-four twist. Most low-back stiffness isn’t because something is “wrong”. It’s often because the hips and lower spine haven’t moved gently in rotation all day. This stretch does three useful things at once: • Encourages hip rotation so the spine doesn’t have to do all the work • Gently unloads the lower back without forcing end range • Calms protective muscle tone through slow, controlled movement Why it helps: When hip rotation improves, the lumbar spine experiences less compensatory strain and often feels easier before pain even changes. Research shows low-load rotational movement can reduce stiffness and improve comfort when the back feels guarded (O’Sullivan et al., 2018; Behm et al., 2022). How to use it: • Lie on your back • Cross one leg into a figure-four • Gently rotate both legs to one side first then the other • Breathe slowly and stay relaxed • 20–30 seconds each side This isn’t about stretching harder. It’s about giving your back options again. 🔖 Save this for later 💬 Comment HIPS if you want my favourite follow-up hip flexor stretch. References • O’Sullivan, P. et al. (2018). I’ve tried this and many more of the stretches/movements you have shown and my back still screams every day! Had scans and there’s no pressure points or anything spinal going on and been told just to stretch and keep the movement in it but still no rest bite 😔😔

My ferritin levels went from 7 to 40 in just 4 weeks using this iron supplement 📈 If you have low ferritin but "normal" iron levels, your doctor probably told you you're fine. But you're exhausted. Hair falling out. Brain fog. Always cold. Sound familiar? My hormone specialist recommended iron supplements because my insurance denied iron infusions. Honestly? I'm grateful because I discovered I CAN absorb iron - I just needed the RIGHT kind. This is MegaFood Iron Blood Builder - iron bisglycinate. Not regular iron that destroys your stomach. This form actually absorbs without the nausea, constipation, or upset stomach that makes most people quit iron supplements. Here's my routine: I take 3 capsules every other night with orange juice and go back to bed. Why every other night? Research shows something called hepcidin blocks iron absorption for 48 hours after you take iron. So spacing it out every other day is MORE effective than taking it daily. Check out the research on that - it's life changing. It has vitamin C for absorption, B12, and folate. Gentle on your stomach. No side effects for me - and I've had low iron my entire life and struggled to get my ferritin levels where they need to be. Four weeks. Ferritin from 7 to 40. If you've tried iron supplements before and quit because of side effects, or if your ferritin is low and you need gentle iron that actually works - try this one. Not medical advice - talk to your healthcare provider! This is what worked for ME.
