it's "Kumpel" or "ein Freund/Freundin von mir" for friends. if you say "Mein Freund" it usually means boyfriend. we also use mein "Partner", "Geliebter" and "Schatz". but in general the "ein" and "mein/meine" makes the main difference between a friend and a boyfriend

What can i say other then unser rechtschreib und gramatik ist einfach nur unlogisch und wir haben doch selber keine ahnung von irgendwas meistens sagen wir einfach was sich fpr uns richtig anhört ist das logisch nein bestimmt nicht funktioniert es? Nö auch nicht aber wir machens trotzdem. We are just silly😅
