@feesa_everyday: A Northern childhood core memory ✨ Every time I visited Kano, one thing I always found myself eating was Ridi (Kantu). I remember how my friends and I would use big, empty tomato paste containers to make it. We’d buy sugar and sesame seeds, make a small fire with sticks and wood, pour in the sugar, let it melt, then add the sesame seeds. We’d mix it, roll it into balls, and that was it. Even after I moved back to Abuja, I still found myself buying sesame candy from supermarkets H-Medix in particular. This brings back so many nostalgic memories, and being able to make it now and share it with you, my cousins, today is such an honour.
