@cottageandblossom: Well let’s try this again! My apologies for leaving you hanging with my last reel with no caption or explanation of what I was working on. It posted on its own apparently! Your comments really gave me a good laugh! 😂 This is a perfect winter project to dig into and get your hands dirty, quite literally! It’s very satisfying to make your own papier-mâché / paper pulp bowl or vessel. I’ve made several bowls in the past and wanted to challenge myself with a bigger project. I completed the project over several days, taking the time to let the vessel dry in between. I still may paint the vase / urn but, at the moment, I’m enjoying the natural organic colour. I suggest you start with a smaller bowl shape. Look around your home and cupboards for a shape you like. Just cover the outside in plastic wrap so you can easily remove the finished product. Here’s the recipe for the paper pulp ~ 3 cups paper pulp (make this first and store in fridge) 1 Tbsp vegetable oil 1 Tbsp vinegar 1/2 cup white glue 1/2 cup joint compound Wrap in plastic wrap and keep in a plastic bag in fridge until you’re ready to use. If you’re interested in this project, start saving egg cartons and small boxes. I find the egg cartons easier to rip apart. #papermache #paperpulp #sustainablecraft #papercraft #papercrafts
