I prefer hardcover, paperbacks feel so flimsy to me.

Paperbacks are definitely easier to hold, but I hate how easily the spines and corners get bent 😩

Hardcovers are for the aesthetic. Paperbacks are for reading. Unless it’s gonna be another 6-8 months before the paperback comes out then I guess I have to read the hardcover.

I have ganglion cysts on both wrists, so I 10 to 1 prefer paper backs. I prefer hardbacks for trophies on my shelves 😂

I like both, I don’t have an issue with either. But one satisfying thing about paperback is it can look like it’s a loved book shen the spine crinkles and I think that’s just nice. :)

I prefer to purchase paperback for myself. I mostly read books from the library and they are all hardcover.

even more of an unpopular opinion.. not only do I prefer paperback, but I actually enjoy when the paperback starts getting worn, it just shows how loved it is. My favorite books are all falling apart.

So I need it for accommodation if it’s not kindle. I have severely hypermobile hand ligaments. I’ve torn them in my fingers multiple times. I get hardbacks because I can set the flat on my lap or on a surface. You can’t do that with paperback. They actually hurt my hands really bad.

no bc thumb pain is real. in either scenario, look into book page weights. my grandfather has been using this leather weight for like my whole life and it's so nifty. imagine like
0---0 and each 0 is a lil weight.

Depends on the book for me. Normally prefer hardcover because they feel better in my hands.

So for me, if it's a book I read on kindle or audible and I want to own a physical just for collection, I'll always buy hardcover if it's not overly expensive. But if I'm buying a physical book I haven't read, I will always buy the paperback

I try to keep my books in brand new condition the best I can and with paperbacks no matter how gentle I am while reading, after you've read it the cover will pop up just a little and I feel like I've ruined my pretty book that should look as amazing as the story inside it😫

Paperback forever unless it only came out as a hardcover. But if it's a newer book, I usually wait for the paperback version

I hate hardback books and I hate that some books make you wait for paperbacks. also why are they so much more expensive for no reason? The first thing I do is take the dust jackets off
