Absolutely rediculous! Break pads dont need a FKN sensor! Just another way to overcomplicate something that should be simple so they can make more money, the only way to stop this garbage is to stop buying it!

at 4mm the pads are at a dangerous point in there life. The heat cycles and the length the caliper piston is out is unsafe for government specifications. Other countries are worse yet. Tires are bad at half thread other countries. we are pretty fortunate To All The World

fails inspection for check engine light being on. passes Brake pads. customer pays to diagnose check engine light. is told brake pads fails now. that's just setting up everyone to get yelled at by the customer. nice.

I put new sensors on and zip tie it off to the side
Ok 1, European cars have been doing this for a LONG time. And you’re using “check engine light” wrong. It should only turn on the brake light

What code. I’ve seen wheel speed sensors cause check engine light on new cars. Never a pad sensor.

You sure it wasn’t a MIL light? They use the symbol of an engine but it may not be related to the engine at all.

So you always check the brake pad when you have an engine light?

tbh pads are cheap. but in my experience if you dont replace the rotor they make noise. 05 f150 RWD front rotor coat 150 - 300 each. stupid design that has the wheel bearing pressed into rotor with a snap ring holding it in if that snap ring broke and feel out the rotor could come right off the bearing

more complicated build.. cars are expensive enough without specialty parts..how much dose that sensor add to the price over a regular brake pad
