It means seeing kids want to say hello but being pulled away. All because of how he looks. Shadow doesn’t understand any of it. He just keeps walking with the same calm energy and soft eyes. He doesn’t bark or act aggressive. He waits. And when someone finally stops, that fear disappears almost instantly. So I have to ask.
