this might sound weird but what helps me saying it out loud like cursing and swearing at the drug of choice like saying no you won't overpower me today etc also I love to watch ronnie o'sullivan videos I don't why but by just watching him play it calms me and takes away the cravings it doesn't always work but 95% of the time it does

But I do think in this society we are built to depend on certain things. You need to depend on a career for money if you have children to support you need money, most of the time you need to depend on a partner too because who in this day and age can afford to live comfortably on a minimum wage 🥲 I have seen many people recreationally use substances and not have problems, however I have also knows someone who was a add1ct and who physically could not stop on any substance, there was a massive difference.
