A lot of fans were disappointed in the end of the manga and Isayama admitted he was too stressed to come up with something better. He then improved it in the anime, with which he was heavily involved. So you kinda made the right call, though I suggest checking the manga ending after you are done with the anime 😉

Imo Attack on Titan owes EVERYTHING to its anime adaptation. WIT Studio, director Tetsuro Araki, and the voice actors (especially Yuki Kaji for Eren) made it into the property it is today.

Yep I understand totally. Sometimes the anime is miles better than manga just because the art is better. Like demon slayer, I couldn’t stand the manga art but the anime - holy moly it’s divine 🥰

For me, I find nearly all action mangas are better as anime. I only read the end of the attack on titan manga. I absolutely didn’t want to wait for the anime to finish coming out. 10/10 the anime is better with the fight scenes and choreography! If I were to choose between only watching or reading attack on titan again for the rest of my life, I would always choose the anime over the manga.
