What if there aren’t really any opportunities to get hours? Like if the closest thing there is for experience is an animal shelter? How would that work? Or for letters of recommendation? Sorry for all the questions there just isn’t anyone irl I can ask😭

What are schools out there that don’t require a bachelors degree? I have the required prerequisites plus multiple equine science elective credits and thousands of hours in equine med. My vet is telling me to apply but I am worried I won’t get accepted without a degree

if we’re interested in large animal medicine but have significantly more small animal experience, how would you discuss that in an application? especially for someone who did not grow up in agriculture or the large animal side of vet med. Thank you so much for your informational videos!!

I applied the 2025-2026 cycle but haven’t heard any good news from any state schools. I still have 4 schools left to hear from, one being my IS, should I wait to hear back from all of them or start filling out my second application now?
