(By “opposite trades,” I mean trades with delta opposite the firm’s notional delta pre-hedge, which ultimately means they’re taking trades in the same direction as the clients)

Naturalgas, silver, gold and bitcoin futures are not that efficient. Even nasdaq is so volatile.

Why don’t they allow trading treasury futures then because those are the most liquid?

Question, what’s in prop firms best interest for profitable traders to trade with them? Do the prop firms take data from their trades to improve their own algorithms ?

So true. My ML models barely make a 5% annual return on very liquid assets like EURUSD, but easily make 68% on other assets where there's low liquidity.

They want you to trade equity indexes because they are equity indexes not because of liquidity. Indexes by their nature are harder to predict because there's more factors involved in why people buy or sell. Many studies show a more liquid instrument actually leads to more predictive signals because that leads to more large players that contribute regular predictable flows. Like treasury futures are perfect for this. But all the prop firms recently banned treasuries. Go figure.

What software would you recommend to see the probability graph of my strategy? And is it possible to see that data if my strategy uses SVP COB etc, would I be able to include all of the dimensions of my strategy in the recommended software? I also wanna say thanks for all the content you put out it’s super interesting to see your viewpoint on trading as a whole and your opinion on the majority of retail trades keep up the good work ❤

It's all about the risk reward ratio to increase expected value. If you're only right 50% of the time, then as long as you make more with your winners than your losers, the law of large numbers dictate you're good
