We had to sleep train without the paci because she would cry every time it fell out and couldn’t fall back asleep until I replaced it for her. This would happen like 10 times a night. Took longer to sleep train but definitely worth it bc she no longer relies on it to sleep. I give it to her when I put her to sleep but if it falls out that’s it unless she replaces it herself

Can you go over sleep training with the pacifier and what that looks like after sleep training is “complete” if they can’t put the pacifier back in their mouth at that age, are you popping the pacifier back in once or twice a night, etc

Do you check diapers or see if they’re hungry every time you do your pop ins? How do you know they’re not falling back asleep uncomfortable

I know you get a million requests but I would love to know if you’ve had to kind of re-sleep train any of your kiddos? Our 2 year old had great sleep habits but got sick recently and we needed to minimize crying by staying in his room. Now he panics every time we leave.

My daughter is almost 2.5 and I’ve been so scared to take it away for MONTHS and the other day my sister told her “you’re a big girl, time to throw them away” and my daughter threw them away and that was 3 days ago and she hasn’t had it once 😅 I was scared for nothing hahaha

So i’m assuming the baby’s who took pacis didn’t have any issue with latching in the beginning because of the paci?

My daughter weaned herself off of the pacifier at 7 months as well. She voluntarily stopped using it at like 4-5 months unless she was trying to sleep.

okay so question… prior to sleep training how many times do you put the paci in at night before picking them up to nurse? with my first I would nurse bc I always assumed she was hungry 😅
