I can translate that for you. Because he knows you well, he realized he dropped the bomb on you and wanted to see your reaction, even for a second. Then he adapted his story in a way you won't feel guilty or get upset. But let me tell you this ... he wants kids. Something may happened (or not) and this idea got into his head recently, that eventually he would want to experience this during his lifetime. Give him a few days (don't let more than 1 week to pass) and have a serious conversation with him. Very IMPORTANT, DO NOT blame him! He is confused. Just talk and listen to him. Pregnancy would still be the most dangerous part. Resources are a part of raising them once they're born, but the health implications of pregnancy, delivery, post partum and chronic illnesses caused by getting pregnant are horrifying, especially with underlying health conditions we might not even know we have. I mean women have died in parking lots, having a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancies. Right now, at this point in history, with not enough medical research regarding women's health, definitely not safe 🥴
