I will agree that a stop bar violation in most cases is kind of a BS stop. I stopped but I just didn't do it as far back as you would have liked me to. think about how many corners you come up to where the stop bar is so far back that even if you stop behind it you still have to creep forward and stop in order to see around bushes and obstructions to know what's coming? I have a few dozen of those intersections within blocks of my house. so every single time I'm going to roll up stop behind the stop bar and then creep up just to see what's coming especially on a corner where there really isn't any other traffic. no I'm not going to do that I'm going to do exactly what she probably did which is slide up ahead of the stop bar and stop where I can actually see. then proceed. so I can kind of see her point. and clearly in her mind she's had enough of whatever they're doing so maybe a conversation about that would have chilled things out a little bit
