Even if you are engaged, I wouldn't move. My bro and sis & law got married a year before he finished med school and didn't live together the 1st year they were married. It allowed her to focus on her career, him to focus on school/his residency & 42 years later, they're still married.

As someone in medicine residency is a crazy time probably the craziest time in medical training and having a good support and family near is super helpful. Good luck with the match and your journey!

1000% respect this stance. I made a lot of changes to my life for my (eventual) husband but looking back I’m definitely glad it worked out! If it hadn’t I would’ve regretted making the changes, I think waiting for an engagement is the move!
