I once tried to pay with a two dollar bill and the kid at the register told me I couldn’t pay with that - he thought it was fake 🤦🏻♀️

I gave my now 15 year old a credit card (small amount, authorized user) to teach her to manage credit. Just last week I had to explain to her that the order of use for fraud safety is: tap, chip, swipe. Mind you she's been swiping instead of using the chip at Walmart. I was kinda surprised because my card typically doesn't allow swipe if chip is available.

I had to show one at a register how to TYPE in the card number if the card machine keeps reading error

They wouldn't have survived in the 80s when NO ONE used credit cards like that and not only would most people pay by cash - but you'd have to mentally figure out the change due and then count the coins/bill. to the customer!😂😂
