I hope he’s ok. Your 20s are difficult. I’m glad he made a decision though. Hopefully it wasn’t followed with anxiety. Of the few times in my life where I exited a situation seemingly random like this was, I was also having a panic attack. Once I quit a job on the spot during my panic attack. I was likely going to make that change anyway, but normally I would have given notice and made a plan. This was on a random day and my panic attack and anxiety made me feel like I needed to get out immediately.

The system needs to be revamped. Forcing students to take on classes (and debt) that don’t apply to their degree has never sat right with me. The college has a base level requirement for admission and the prerequisites were achieved in HS. College courses should be centered around the major only not unnecessary filler classes that waste time and money.
