all I do is pour in about a third of a can of Sea Foam in 5he tank, let it run and you can hear the surge go away

Not always carb, could be bad stator or voltage regulator. Even gas, altitude, or battery health might be too low.

Mine did that when I first started it for the season but after about 30 to 45 minutes, it smoothed out and runs great

Great tip! 👍👍. I’m wondering if you’ve done a video on a snowblower engine shutting down when you turn the choke completely off. Needless to say, I’m having that problem. I’m sure it’s an adjustment on the carburetor, but I’m not sure how to do that.

You don’t need to count the idle set screw. Only jets. The idle screw you just eyeball and adjust it
