@buildwithcharlotte: 55-cent thrift find turned into the sweetest Valentine’s DIY! 🥹 You can also find these cardboard mailboxes at craft stores or on Amazon for a couple of dollars. I painted it pink (but it would be fun to have the kids decorate, too) and hung it with Velcro Command Strips. Every day in February, her dad and I will leave a little valentine with something we love about her! Then she can tape them to her door to see every day. For older kids, I don’t think you need a prize with it, but for my 3-year-old, the excitement of checking it daily worked so well! I grabbed little packs of toys from Dollar Tree. This is such a fun tradition to start on Feb 1st—or even just 7 days before Valentine’s! I also love the idea of doing this as a family, sharing things you love about each other leading up to Valentine’s Day. You could set out a bowl with construction paper hearts and keep the mailbox in a main area of the house. Just think how much this would mean to family members whose love language is words of affirmation! Such an easy, affordable, and special DIY. Share with a friend so they can do it too! We use painters tape on back of hearts and let Amelia stick them to the door. No damage and makes it interactive for her! This is from last year.. we will be doing it again! #thrifted #valentinesdiy #valentinescraft
