Some of you guys are forgetting, some individuals can’t afford a $500 plumbing. It’s quick/temp fix that’s in the crawlspace that allows use of that pipe for the mean time.

you may want to put a strap on the pipe to relieve some of the downward stress on the pipe. great job I love these fittings

Sharkbites are notorious for failing in cold weather. A licensed plumber could have fix it the right way and set it up to prevent it from happening in the future.

After a pipe froze and burst upstairs, we added shutoff valves to the pipes heading up. I don’t know why this isn’t standard practice.
