He asked a twelve year old about her career goals and took the answer seriously? And then gave up her college fund on the assumption that she wouldn’t change her thoughts or opinions at all in any of the six years between then and when she was college age?

Am I mistaken or did he really pay for his new wife's (at that point fiancee) school, but not for the mother's med school, even tho they were married when she started going to med school....

of course she didn't care about school 2 years ago, she was just a child. 😭 I knew when he said to hear me out first, that it was already off on the wrong foot. I feel like they weren't that close. I think the daughter went along with what the dad was doing because it made him happy, not so much as her happy, because she wanted to bond with her parent (which every kid wants to do). I feel like he has a very narrow version of his perception of things and refuses to open his horizons. granted, there is no guarantee for anyone to save funds for your kids, but there might have been a contractal agreement on the divorce to make one for her. maybe her mother got full custody and the court made op the main contributor to said college fund as they started it with his ex wife. this is all speculation, but if any part of that is true, he's in a lot more trouble b le than he think he's on. legally, he shouldn't be spending it if the courts have deemed so.

Didn’t hold resentment then pulls rug out, then we find out it’s the AP. Come on AH isn’t a big enough adjective.

Why would he even tell her that he had a college fund that he used to pay for his wife’s school. He should have just said, “I do, it’s just not very much at this moment, but I’m still adding money to it.” If he did that none of this would have happened. It was like he was purposely doing it to hurt his daughter
