The most useful thing I can teach you about Face Yoga isn’t another exercise… it’s these 3 things: 1. Use a mirror to see how your face responds Face Yoga isn’t just about doing the movements, it’s about understanding your own face. Use a mirror to notice whether you’re creating any unnecessary lines or wrinkles as you practise, whether you’re using both sides of your face equally, and whether you’re holding tension in areas such as your jaw, forehead or between your eyebrows. The more awareness you have, the more effectively you can work with your face. 2. Always use product first Start with a clean face, then apply a little product to give your skin some glide, particularly when doing facial massage. I use my Fusion by Danielle Collins Pro-Lift Moisturising Serum. It’s organic and vegan, and gives me enough glide for Face Yoga without feeling greasy. But you can absolutely use a product of your choice. The important thing is that you’re not dragging or pulling dry skin. 3. Check your posture, breathe & have clean hands Your posture matters more than you might think. Poor posture can contribute to puffiness, lines and sagging around the lower face and neck, so aim for a long spine, relaxed shoulders and an open chest. And breathe! Slow, mindful breathing helps calm your nervous system and brings those deeper wellbeing benefits into your Face Yoga practice. Finally, always make sure your hands are clean before touching your face so you’re not transferring unnecessary bacteria onto your skin. These little details can make such a difference to your practice (and technically I have shared 5 tips not 3!). And if you’d love to take your Face Yoga knowledge much deeper, my accredited Face Yoga Teacher Training Certification teaches you how to confidently and safely teach my method professionally. . . . . . #faceyoga #faceyogaexpert #faceyogateachertraining #faceyogaexercise
