Just use didi - it literally costs about £20 return from Beijing 👍 also this part she is in IS the most touristy part of the wall, but it’s still great fun and the slide is definitely worth it

Use didi because there's no way any taxi should cost you $100. I took a taxi from Shenzhen to Guangzhou on a public holiday as the trains were full. It cost 350rmb ($50) for a 136km journey that took just over 2 hours.

Didi there cost only $25-30 usd. 80min ride. You can negotiate to rent them for a few hours so they can be on standby when your ready to leave, if you prefer.
