@aye_nee: This is coming from someone who does value and encourage the development of these skills. I think many people would benefit from reading higher quality books or diversifying their reading. But reading Dostoyevsky doesn’t make you better than someone who reads Colleen Hoover. You may be a more proficient reader, but that’s all.
