2 dimensional creatures can't climb walls because there are no walls in two dimensions. Walls are orthogonal to a plane, and that can't exist in two dimensions.

They could not climb. No 3d holds, they would just perceived weird lines, but I argue not even that. As there is no 3d awareness.
