READ HER STORY ⬇️ Nova is only 9 months old, but she has already experienced more heartbreak than most puppies ever should… 🥺 On June 2, Nova arrived at the shelter as a stray after being found alone in the woods with a cut on her forehead. We’ll never know what happened to her before she got there… only that someone wasn’t there to protect her… 💔 The shelter staff cared for her, treated her, and once she was ready, she moved to the adoption floor. It finally seemed like her life was about to change. She was adopted… and returned the very next day because she “wasn’t a good fit.” A few days later, someone else chose her. This time she stayed in a home for one week. Then she was returned again because her family realized they worked too much and didn’t have enough time for a puppy. Imagine being only nine months old and already trying to understand why people keep leaving. Through it all, Nova still greets people with hope. She still believes every new face could be the one who loves her forever. She can be a little shy at first, and honestly, that’s understandable after everything she’s been through. But give her a little time, and you’ll discover one of the sweetest puppies you’ll ever meet. She absolutely loves people, loves other dogs, and has so much love to give. Nova is currently being treated for some skin allergies with medicated baths, and with proper care and medication, she should be feeling much better soon.
