@shaktishambhala: Forearm Stand Foundations 🫶 👀 This series is for movers working on forearm stand who want more strength, stability, and control in their inversion practice. These drills build shoulder elevation, stacking awareness, and smooth weight transfer so going upside down feels lighter and more confident. 💫 Floating and leg lifts are optional, letting you challenge balance and control without forcing the shape. Strong, focused, and progressive — this is about moving better, not muscling through. ⚠️ Stop if you feel pain or dizziness. Always consult your healthcare provider before starting a new exercise program. 👉 Practice with proper alignment & engagement. Take a rest if your form breaks. 🔹Seated Shoulder Elevations (Forearm Stand Prep) Sit tall with your spine upright and ribs stacked over your pelvis. Reach both arms straight overhead, elbows locked and palms facing in. Without bending the arms, lift the shoulders up toward the ears, then slowly lower them down, feeling the shoulder blades glide on the rib cage. Keep the neck relaxed and avoid shrugging forward. →Builds shoulder elevation strength and awareness for safe forearm stand support. 🔹Kneeling Lift to Straddle (Forearm Stand Prep): Start kneeling with hands on the floor and elbows under the shoulders. Press firmly through the forearms, lift the shoulders away from the ears, and raise the hips to stack the shoulders over the elbows. Extend the legs long, then gently open into a brief straddle if balance allows. Keep the neck relaxed and move with control as you return to the ground. →Builds shoulder stability, hip control, and spatial awareness for forearm stand entry. 🔹Kneeling Lift to Float (Forearm Stand Prep): Start kneeling with hands on the floor and elbows under the shoulders. Press firmly through the forearms, lift the shoulders away from the ears, and raise the hips to stack the shoulders over the elbows. Keep one foot grounded while the other leg lifts, finding balance and control. Add a brief float only if proper alignment and form are maintained. →Builds shoulder strength, weight transfer, and confidence for forearm stand entry. 🔹Dolphin Hinge (Forearm Stand Prep): Start in dolphin with forearms rooted and shoulders lifted away from the ears. Hinge the body forward and back, stacking the shoulders over the elbows as weight shifts. Keep the neck long and ribs contained. If stable, lightly lift one leg while maintaining control. →Builds shoulder strength, balance, and confidence for forearm stand entry. #yoga #mobility #stretching #workoutmotivation #motivation
