go to an endodontist for the root canal (a specialist). u likely wont regret it. a root canal could last 20 + years if crowned. gives u time to save for an implant. u will regret not getting implant as it’ll affect your bite down the line

trust me on this. nothing, and I mean NOTHING will ever be as good as your natural tooth! Break the bank if you have to, but get that RCT. If you want to make sure it's done right, go see a specialist. You are very young and you don't know what will happen in the future. you can always get an implant, you can't grow your tooth back. good luck

my god the people saying choose extraction over root canal. money aside, a root canal isn't meant to be that bad. gets rid of pain and saves tooth. only thing you need then is a crown

I do not understand why anyone would want an extraction over a root canal! Root canal preserves bone, which is positive and so much better for oral health. Extraction is instant bone loss which no one wants and causes further issues down the line, once a tooth is gone it’s gone - irreversible. Root canals have a huge success rate and are done by a specialist, the procedure itself is painless (I’ve had one). When in pain so many people just want a tooth pulled out without giving it proper thought, please listen to your dentist advice carefully x

This was me all over Christmas, started root canal, then had to go back, restarted root canal and still awful pain! Ended in an extraction 😭

My canine tooth died, we think from my braces and we decided on root canal. But the back teeth have 4 roots where as the front have 1! I opted for it as I couldn’t walk around with a front tooth missing and couldn’t afford to get an implant.

Ive just had and extraction today, I did think about a root canal but decided against it as i have hemophilia and if i need an urgent extraction its alot more of an issue. My tooth litetally crumbled as he was taking it out 😳

I had 2 root canals across 2 apps, no pain & fell asleep during the 2nd one, just had a bit of swelling & aching after. Had it done by an endodontist, crowns & no issues several years on. I found having the teeth prepped for crowns far more invasive than the root canals.

DN here, try the root canal, if it does fail then at least you can have it extracted. trust me, nothing beats your own tooth. once your tooth is extracted you'll have a gap and your tooth above slowly comes down into the gap and then needs removing to. try rct and then you've got options 😊

I've just had an extraction and the sam reason you went to see dentist is had my wisdom tooth and the molar next to it out and the relief instantly was pure bliss xx
