@chinesewithmegan: Let's learn the Chinese initial sounds and how to pronounce them properly! 👅 g, k, h: Use the back of your tongue against or near the soft palate (the soft, back part of the roof of your mouth). j, q, x: Use the front/middle of your tongue (the blade) against the hard palate (the hard, front part of the roof of your mouth). d, t, n, l: Use the tip of your tongue against the alveolar ridge (the bumpy area right behind your upper front teeth). z, c, s: Use the tip of your tongue against the back of your upper or lower front teeth. The airflow is flat, creating a hissing sound.
