The wealthy shape how much you get paid. Through lobbyists, they influence which laws are written and who wins elections. They drive up asset prices, and when their businesses fail, governments bail them out. The least they can do is pay their fair share in taxes. Sadly what the say publicly and do privately are very different things.

I think taxing millionaires and billionaires isn’t the right thing to be looking at, most aren’t cash rich so they don’t pay the tax. I think tax needs changing and to close and tighten accountancy tricks so big corporations pay little to no tax. Like Starbucks in the uk don’t pay tax that needs to stop but blaming millionaires snd billionaires is ridiculous, I would also pay less tax if I could and I’m sure anyone would, who doesn’t want more money in their pocket
