When I was in school they had us put our phones face down on our desks so they could see us not using them. This is SO unsafe and who are they to hold your property hostage???

Why not just silence your phone or turn it off and keep it but DO NOT play on it. So that if there is an emergency you still have a phone. Do they search you guys to know if you have a phone or not?

In 2007 our parents would have to come pick up our phone . It couldn’t be released to us and some kids phones would sit there for months 😭

In HS if you had your phone in class it went to the office the first time & you could pick it up after school, 2nd time parent had to get it, 3rd time it stayed at the office the rest of the semester. No phone anymore. At all.
