@sciencewithspice it seems to me you've fallen into the trap of thinking that every member of carnivora has to be a obligate carnivore, which simply isn't the case. There are a large number of omnivores in the group--racoons, skunks, bears, civets--and even canids can have up to 50% of their diet come from plants.
