Went to meet an Edward Jones guy my father uses… 1.35% fee per year on total portfolio seems like a rip off. Guy was like well that drops as your investment increases yea like .05% per $250k dude ur still charging a boat ton. That’s 10k annually on a million portfolio whether they make you a dime or even lose $$. Wish I knew more about investing. School truly fails kids. Let’s not teach oil changes, changing a tire, balancing a checkbook, basic investing… nope let’s learn about Greek gods, chemistry we’ll never use, advanced math that again most never use… etc.

Jack Bogle himself even said that ETFs are not inherently bad if you utilize them for the right reasons those reasons being to buy and hold them forever and not day trading.
