@britta_grant: The ocean waves are a Black Woman For the strength and resilience are always noted, But the calm and the peace are often overlooked. The way we attract all, for peace, for healing, for fun. We hold, comfort, and tend to be rough whenever mother demands such. You’ll marvel, then leave with fuller spirits, and tanned skin. Yet, do you think about the waves when you are not benefiting from them? Do you give back to the waves with un-littered sands? With a metaphorical do not disturb sign around the beautiful creatures who call us “home,” Or with a offering of gratitude and peace for all they so gracious give you? For all you take. Well.. do you? So when the swell reaches your rooftops, and the waves take your boardwalk, It’s important to remember all they gave you first, and the reason we marvel in the first place. For the strength and resilience of the ocean waves teach us all a lesson. To achieve harmony, even the most resilient forces must be met with respect, honor, and appreciation.
