As an ordinary Chinese ,my priority is enough food is put on the table with prices I can afford ,the Chinese government has started a food basket project over 30 years ago which promotes the food production with affordable prices ,80% of sea food is farmed along the coast of China ,hundreds different kind of fresh vegetables are available everyday no matter what season it is ,over 90%people own their homes ,every kids can go to school ,we live in a peaceful country and women can walk home at 2am safely ,cheap transport cost for every citizen ,can your government give you all these ?

by removing the disproportionately high income/wealth of the top 1%, the GDP per capita for the remaining 99% would be significantly lower, likely falling from the standard ~$88k per person down to perhaps the $40k-$60k range, closer to median income levels
