I hate where college athletics is going. NIL is different from revenue sharing and money from collectives. He most likely signed a contract with Duke for rev share or with a collective. They need to cap rev share and collectives to 100k max a year for students

They need to change the portal back to a one or two year sit out. They went from giving athletes nothing to give them compensation and unlimited transfer ability.

I was so confused about the portal & I’m not a huge follower of college sports. I do, however, feel college athletes have brought in a lot of $$ to their respective schools & should get something for that. It seems to me the conflict now is a school can’t rely on their recruits. How do you build the program if you are always wondering if that recruit will stay? It seems it’s about $$$…..which changes the idea of “college” sports. Ugh

Is it slavery if the person willingly signs the contract? He's not being forced to "work" for Duke he's being held contractly liable...right?....NIL will ruin college sports
