@mandigrifol: I breastfed my son until 14 months 🤍 Now I’m 6 months in with my second and still nursing + pumping. Here’s what’s helped me build and maintain a slight oversupply ⬇️ 1️⃣ Proper diet: Iaim for around my body weight in grams of protein daily. 2️⃣ Water: Hydration is everything. I drink about 1–2 gallons a day. 3️⃣ Pumping morning + night: Helps fully empty my breasts and prevents overnight engorgement. 4️⃣ Power pumping (when supply dips) 20 min pump / 10 rest / 10 pump / 10 rest / 10 pump. I’ll do one in the morning and sometimes another if I can. 5️⃣ Pumping after feeds in the newborn stage: I pumped after every nursing session the first month to signal my body to make more than baby needed early on. 6️⃣ Skin-to-skin: Helps increase oxytocin, which supports milk production and letdowns. 7️⃣ Looking at my baby: Pictures, videos, or pumping while near them helps with letdown. Every body is different 🤍 this is just what worked for me. Drop your milk-boosting tips below 👇 #breastfeeding #milkproduction #oversupply #increasemilksupply #pumpingmom
