Sounds like you’re say, “Shame” is an intensely painful internal experience rooted in the belief that “I am bad,” rather than “I did something bad.” This belief fosters a sense of being fundamentally flawed, and unworthy of connection or belonging. Therefore, shame shapes how we see ourselves and often drives withdrawal, silence, and isolation.

Not being emotionally supported so I feel I always have to prove myself.

My limiting belief is that I will never be financially comfortable because I am incapable of monetising any of my talents. It freezes me with fear. That frozen state means I can’t unlock any of my talents or learn how to monetise them so it fulfils the prophecy.

I feel shame recently not because I am fearful but because people now know the truth about my dysfunctional family. I’m breaking the generational dysfunction. You can’t keep it private. People ask why you are not participation in events. Why I’m different now. Just being my authentic self. Not living in their believe system anyone. How can I rewire that shame feeling. Thanks Trish

I’ve been looking at my triggers/emotions-teachers/inner child wounds (thanks for THAT video, btw) and I’ve realized that my beliefs about myself were based on bad faith arguments from trusted adults. When kids ask why the sky is blue, and an adult answers the question, we assume that’s the truth. As kids, we believe adults when they tell us just about anything just because they’re big and why would they lie? But now I’m realizing the difference between bad faith arguments, the beliefs they formed, and facts. I’m combating my limiting beliefs with the FACTS of the matter (me being the matter 😅) and that’s helping me tremendously.

i grew up, believing to self sacrifice, and to not have things, money, to be living without, was like being next to God. I truly believe that this has kept me from having an abundance of anything. and that faulty belief has kept me somewhat poor. I don’t know how to have good things even happened to me. I had taken very nice vacations and felt guilty the whole time.

How do you make it back from deep shame that comes from doing something really terrible? How does “the bad guy” find redemption?

is trauma that you get from a severe car accident the same as like childhood trauma and the way you manage it or get better. what I'm trying to say is do you deal with the emotions sort of on the same way?

The closest thing in Latvian to shame is the word “kauns,” and we have all kinds of expressions about someone who is without shame, and behavior that is without shame is irresponsible, reckless, cruel, so I actually have a view that shame is a kind of interior barrier that prevents people from behaving horribly. How is shame a negative emotion. Shouldn’t people who do horrible things have more shame so that them being ashamed of themselves would prevent them from behaving horribly?

What do I do when I can't remember the good things that happened in my life but I only remember the bad things? I have aphantasia and it is so limiting. I can't visualize like other people. My thinking is in inner dialogue and feeling in my body. I'm not great at the feeling part.
