@anabelle.vangiller: Homemade pretzel bites are officially a thing in my kitchen 🥨✨ Soft, golden, and perfect for dunking in mustard, cheese, or just eating straight up! I finally nailed the recipe after a few tries, and they’re way easier than they look. Recipe below! Homemade Pretzel Bites 🥨 Ingredients • 1½ cups warm water • 2 tsp honey • 2 tsp kosher salt • 2¼ tsp active dry yeast • 4½ cups all-purpose flour • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted • ⅔ cup baking soda • 1 egg yolk + 1 tbsp water (egg wash) • Kosher salt, optional Directions 1. In a large bowl, mix warm water, honey, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy. 2. Add flour and melted butter. Knead 5–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. 3. Cover and let rise for 1 hour. 4. Preheat oven to 450°F. Line two baking sheets. 5. Bring 10 cups water + baking soda to a boil. 6. Divide dough into 6–8 pieces. Roll into ropes (about 1 inch thick) and cut into 1-inch bites. 7. Boil bites in batches for 20–30 seconds. Remove with slotted spoon and place on baking sheets. 8. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with kosher salt (if using). 9. Bake 10–12 minutes until golden brown. Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel Bites • Skip the salt before baking • After baking, brush warm pretzels with 3–4 tbsp melted butter • Toss in a mix of ½ cup sugar + 1½ tsp cinnamon • Serve warm ✨ #homemade #snacks #Recipe #pretzels #fromscratch

Salt kills yeast and should be added after some flour is added.

Hi- your recipe doesn’t say when to add the 2 tsp kosher salt 🙃 is that when you add flour I assume?

A tip we started doing is putting them in the soda water in the long strips then cutting. Makes so much easier
